JOB SUMMARY:
Registered Nurses provide direct care to patients and are a part of all care given by other departments. Registered Nurses must continually strive to provide the highest quality of care possible for the patients. They must also lead the nursing team toward the achievement of the goals of the mission of the CentraCare Health � Paynesville's high quality care and overall efficiency are essential components to this success.

EDUCATION:

 
  • High School diploma or equivalent work experience

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:
  • Current American Heart CPR Certification and maintenance of current CEU’s required
    • ACLS required within twelve months of hire
      • TNCC or CALS within twelve months of initiating ED orientation
        • Registered Nurse with current Minnesota License

        ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
        • Must be able to speak English proficiently
          • Knowledge and skills to implement nursing theory.
            • Demonstrates mature judgment, initiative and proficiency in nursing skills.
              • Demonstrates leadership qualities and executive and organizational abilities.
                • Ability to lead and supervise patient care team.
                  • Ability to interact effectively with physicians, patients and family, staff and other health- care team.
                    • Ability to adapt resources to the needs of the situation.
                      • Knowledge of applied science principles in nursing situations involving techniques and procedures, hygiene and safety measures.
                        • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
                          • Ability to recognize manifestation of physical and emotional problems.
                            • Knowledge and skills to review charts and enter data efficiently.
                              • Teaching ability and ability to work independently using good judgment.
                                • Ability to properly and safely operate all equipment required for this position.
                                  • Knowledge and use of community resources.
                                    • Maintains good physical and mental health.
                                      • May be assigned to specialty areas.
