Pharmacy Team

Our Team

Our team helps bring relief to people in pain, cures people of infections, and improves the quality of life for cancer patients.

We are a large, integrated team rooted in teamwork. Both our pharmacists and pharmacy technicians gain a broad range of clinical experience while working alongside our doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.

No matter the role you work, you'll find your purpose providing the medications our patients need to survive, heal, and thrive.
How Pharmacy Technicians Strengthen Our Team

You may start working as a pharmacy technician and during this time become certified. The additional benefit of becoming certified is a pay increase. There are two “levels” of pharmacy techs; registered and certified. Getting registered is easy. It’s just a matter of getting registered with the Minnesota Board of Pharmacy. You’ll need to get registered before you start working as a pharmacy tech.

Additional education is required in your first 12 months to continue your career beyond a year. There are multiple educational options available to help you achieve this goal, including online classes. That training will prepare you to take the exam to become a certified pharmacy technician (CPhT). Becoming a certified pharmacy tech will result in a 12% pay increase at CentraCare.

Find your purpose in supporting our pharmacists. Help with computer work, inventory control, stocking, sterile preparations, antibiotics, chemotherapy, and much more.  You’ll serve patients of all ages, from premature infants to the elderly.

As a certified pharmacy technician, you'll support pharmacists by ensuring medication accuracy, inventory management, and delivering excellent patient care.
