Willmar Facilities
Willmar is our second-largest community, with more than 1,300 employees located in several facilities. That’s about 10 percent of our workforce!
Rice Memorial Hospital is the largest facility in Willmar and is the longtime hospital serving the Willmar community. It’s a 159-bed (level IV trauma) hospital and has opportunities for nurses, allied health professionals (we’re especially looking for EMTs, paramedics, rad techs, respiratory therapists, and more), business and administrative professionals, and support staff.
Other locations in Willmar include multiple clinics, Willmar Surgery Center, and Willmar Care Center and Therapy Suites. We have opportunities for nearly every healthcare profession!
About the Willmar Area
Willmar is a family-oriented city of about 20,000 nestled in the heart of Minnesota’s lake country. In fact, there are over 35 lakes within a 30-mile radius of Willmar, including 15 of Minnesota’s best fishing waters. In addition, the area boasts an abundance of hunting land, trails, parks, golf courses and recreational facilities.
In Willmar education is a priority, and our city’s $18 million-dollar high school offers all the sports and extracurricular activities of a large conference school. We also have a private, Christian k-12 school and one of the state’s premiere university-affiliated community and technical colleges.
As the cultural center of Kandiyohi County, Willmar is home to the Willmar Area Arts Council, the Barn Theater and the Kandiyohi County Historical Museum. There is a local YMCA, a 4,000-seat civic center and indoor ice arena, a municipal airport and local shopping.
