St. Cloud Hospital always welcomes new graduate Registered Nurse applications. We recommend completing the process 10-12 weeks prior to graduation. At this time we are considering new graduates (Bachelor's prepared nurse strongly preferred) for various positions throughout the organization. As a new grad RN, you are accepted into the New Graduate Residency Program designed to provide resources to the graduate RN as you transition from academia to professional practice. New Graduate Residency Program is accredited with distinction as a Practice Transition Program by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. The new graduates are hired into regular RN positions and wages. The program includes hospital and nursing classroom orientation, followed by additional clinical orientation, coupled with experienced preceptors.

Throughout the first year, additional education and support are provided in groups with other new graduates in order to increase knowledge, networks of peers and confidence in nursing practice. In addition to the strong clinical focus, the program provides professional development in the areas of delegation, communication, critical thinking and clinical reasoning.

The following areas may be available:

  • Emergency Trauma Center
  • Intensive Care Unit
  • Cardiac Care Unit
