Seeking an experienced Level III RN Educator/Quality Specialist for our beautiful Magnet Designated Level III NICU. Hours are primarily Monday - Friday with flexibility to educate evenings and weekends as needed to meet the needs of the unit. Responsible for staff development to support the learning needs of the health care team by providing opportunities for the acquisition of new knowledge, skills and behaviors in light of advancing technologies, changing healthcare delivery systems, expanding nursing roles, and nursing research. Enhances the quality of patient care through ensuring clinical quality and continuous survey readiness. 


  • BSN required. MSN preferred.

EXPERIENCE and Requirements:

  • NICU: Minimum of 2 years of experience in Level 2, Level 3 High Risk and Transport
  • Possess computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to utilize one or more of the following: Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Epic
  • Possess strong communication skills  
  • Demonstrated performance in teaching, organization, leadership
  • Must be able to work independently and possess the ability to make independent decisions within scope of job duties when circumstances warrant such action
  • Must possess the ability to effectively communicate and deal tactfully with other personnel, visitors, patients, providers, customers, and community
  • Must be flexible, have personal integrity, and the ability to function effectively as a team with other employees
  • Posses Strong interpersonal skills Cultural sensitivity Knowledge of adult learning principles
  • Expert knowledge of anatomy, physiology & pathophysiology
  • Expert patient assessment skill and clinical care and problem solving for complex patients
  • Posses strong conflict management skills
  • Collaborate with unit Director and staff to assess learning needs and competencies.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate educational plans/programs and utilize methods, measurements and tools to evaluate achievement of learning goals.
  • Expertise in quality, performance and process improvement


  • Current RN in MN required.
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Healthcare Provider card required prior to completion of unit orientation.
  • National Educator Certification required within two years of hire or minimal amount of time the requirement can be met in area of specialty.
  • NICU Unit: Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) card holder required; National NICU Certification required.
