How To Apply
Thank you for choosing CentraCare. CentraCare recently adopted Clinician Nexus as the platform used to process observer applications for those seeking to observe at CentraCare. All observation applications must be submitted through Clinician Nexus. Please follow these instructions for guidance on applying to observe.
We recommend that applications be submitted at least 4 weeks in advance because of the high volume of requests that we receive. This will ensure enough time for scheduling, coordination, compliance review, and other administrative processes.
What To Expect
Observation is intended to provide a brief opportunity to gain a basic understanding of a role. It is typically limited to a maximum of 5 cumulative days within a 12-month period. Due to equity and the number of medical students and observers within the system, we are unable to offer extended observation experiences.
Observation Rules
Approved observers at St. Cloud Hospital/CentraCare may observe only the patient/clinical sponsor. Observers cannot participate in patient care, handle instruments, access Epic, or interact with equipment. This is strictly a hands-off experience.
