Pre-Med Shadow Program
ABOUT THE PROGRAM
- The Pre‑Med Shadow Program is open to United States citizens with strong ties to central Minnesota. Applicants must have completed a minimum of two years of college coursework and must be available to participate in shadowing on the specific days and shifts assigned, approximately 10 observation days between 7/13 - 7/31, 2026. Students accepted into the program can expect to observe multiple physicians working in a variety of specialties, gaining valuable experience to draw on when applying to medical schools. This is a highly competitive program, and we encourage applicants to apply thoughtfully, ensuring they are fully prepared to engage in the process.
- CentraCare Pre-Med Shadow Program is designed to aid in the maturation of students and their understanding of medicine. Pre-med students accepted into this program will have exposure to various medical specialties and gain patient experiences that will provide insight for medical school application essays and interviews.
