CentraCare offers a Summer Nurse Internship opportunity to help students gain knowledge and experience.
Our Internship has steered countless successful nursing careers. The experience includes hands-on work to help connect your education to the future work you’ll do! You’ll learn from and work one-on-one with some of the best nurses in the profession, people who bring their best to work every day.
The Summer Nurse Intern functions under the supervision of the Registered Nurse. The primary focus is educational, assisting the Intern to prepare for a position as a graduate nurse. The Intern may care for patients ranging in age from newborn to elderly depending on the unit assigned.
CentraCare has a unique and extremely popular New Graduate Nurse Residency Program that provides support resources to the graduate RN as you transition from academia to professional practice. As a member of the program, new graduates are hired into regular, permanent RN positions and wages, but also enjoy the added benefits this program offers.
Nursing Internships/Nursing Observational Experiences
Important Information:
- All colleges and universities must have a current Educational Experience Agreement with CentraCare before processing a nursing student internship/nursing clinical experience.
- If a nursing rotation has been approved and a contract is on file, students will be required to submit specific documentation prior to their experience (background study, immunizations, etc.) This information is provided by the department contact or the CCH Education Department.
